A super cute antique green serpentine Acorn pendant.

The acorn has nice chunky dimensions, created with chasing around the top to mimic the acorn cup, and a smooth domed base to represent the nut.

The acorn has the original pegged gold bail fitting, with a gold jump ring, which is easy to add to a chain.

This is the first time I have come across Green Serpentine, it is a natural stone with a marbled appearance and a range of green tones, It is formed deep under the ocean in rocks rich in magnesium and iron. It’s often used for decorative objects, and is sometimes mistaken for jade or nephrite.

The acorn was a popular symbol from the Victorian era into the 20th century.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.

‘From the tiny acorn, a mighty oak tree can grow.’
