ANTIQUE SILVER POMANDER PENDANT

A lovely antique silver pomander in the shape of a sphere.

The perforated orb has pretty foliate chasing all over, and hangs from a chunky silver jump ring making it easy to add to your chain.

The orb hinges open to reveal an empty cavity perfect to add a keepsake.

Originally it would have been designed to hold a secented sponge or spices, which could be sniffed to mask the unpleasant smells of the time!
