ART NOUVEAU 18CT GOLD & DIAMOND RING

An exquisite French Art Nouveau ring made in 18ct gold.

The ring has an intricately carved band with delicate pansies dotted around the organically formed band.

The diamond setting looks like the bark of a tree! The whole ring has a natural quality which was typical of the Art Nouveau period.

The diamond is a stunning old cut stone with a large culet, letting in plenty of like for extra sparkle. It measures approximately 0.7ct with a good spread across the front of the ring!

The band has a clear French eagles head on the outside of the band to confirm the item is 18ct gold.

The French word ‘Pensée’ translates as both Pansy and thoughts. ‘Pensée a vous’ means ‘Thinking of you’ and ‘Pensée a moi’ ‘Think of me’,

So this could have been a sentimental token to the original owner!
