A beautifully chased 18ct gold egg locket.

This French egg locket opens to reveal a glass panel with the original frame, which is perfect to add a picture or to place a keepsake behind.

The rim of the egg has been engraved with:

14 F_R 1845.

It’s so nice to have a dated piece.

The engraving is fine and details a floral design with a figure of 8 / infinity line pattern.

The hinge is almost invisible and works perfectly.

Hallmarked with the French eagles head mark on the locket bail.

Size approx: 1.9cm x 1.1cm

Weight approx: 3g

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.
 
 

Necklaces

All The Old Cut chains and necklaces have the total length detailed in the description.
The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
