This is an absolutely gorgeous Georgian double Ouroboros snake brooch.

The main snake is made of natural graduated pearls, and has a cabochon emerald paste eye.

The second snake is made of gold and coils inside the pearl snake. The entire body has a beautiful crosshatch chasing. 
It’s an early 19th century piece, circa 1810
The kidney bean shape locket in the centre contains the original hair and gold wording that reads; ‘Lavender Idol’
