GEORGIAN LARGE 12CT GOLD SPLIT RING

A lovely quality, large scale Georgian split ring made of 12ct gold.

Circa 1820/30; the supersized ring is a really good weight, and has beautifully crisp foliate chasing all over.

The ring opens and closes very secure clipping closed in two places. It seems it has rarely been used as there is no gap at all when the ring is closed, and it is useful to use a pin to open as it is very tight when closed.

Wonderful for adding charms to a chain, and for larger fingers to wear as a ring. These make excellent stacker rings.

Due to the size it makes a very cool chain extender - adding approx 1” to your favourite chain!
