A gorgeous Ouroboros snake split ring made of 15ct gold.

The Georgian split ring, circa 1820/30 is modelled as an Ouroboros snake biting his tail.

The ring is in excellent condition, with fine cross hatching along the snakes body, and a gorgeous snake head and defined eyes.

The split ring clips is in excellent condition, clipping closed securely on both sides.

The Ouroboros has been a popular symbol since ancient times. Literally meaning ‘tail-devourer’.

The Ouroboros represented the concept of ‘eternity’ and ‘love everlasting’.
