LATE GEORGIAN PASTE CROSS PENDANT

A superb Georgian Regency paste cross pendant.

The juicy cushion cut black dot pastes are surrounded by trefoil round old cut pastes.

The entire piece is set in collet silver settings and then backed in gold. This was the traditional method for stone setting for Georgian jewellery.

The cross hangs from the original gold bail which is set with a matching old cut paste stone.

The pastes catch the light beautifully, and twinkle perfectly in sun and candlelight!

Excellent to Very good; top cushion paste has a concodial internal fracture but it is not surface reaching and the stone is stable  - see picture, only visible in some lighting
