An adorable antique enamel French Bull Dog stick pin.

This charming piece made by Alling & Co, realistically depicts the head of a ‘Frenchie’ dog.

The entire head is masterfully enamelled, with gorgeous brown /tan, with a white blaze down his nose, and black and red accents for the features.

The enamel work is so detailed, it manages to create the look of fur.

The finish has a slight luminescence which just adds to the beauty of the enamel.

The dog has sparkling pink ruby eyes that catch the light beautifully.

The reverse of the pin bears the hallmark for Alling & Co, who were a premium jeweller of the 19th and early 20th century. They specialised in stickpins, cuff links and jewellery.

The quality of this piece is second to none, and the perfect accessory for any dog lover.

Circa 1900/1910
