MID 19TH CENTURY GARNET & HIGH CARAT GOLD ACORN PENDANT

A super stylish mid 19th century Garnet & gold Acorn pendant.

The pendant is made with bright 14kt chased gold to mimic the Acorn cup, with a twisted gold stalk.

The nut is a fantastic chunky carbuncle garnet, that glows deep red when the light hits.

The stalk has partially legible Russian hallmarks including 56 for 14kt gold.

Hangs from a large high carat gold jump ring which is  looped through the twist in the stalk!

Looks so modern for c.1860.
