STUART CRYSTAL DOUBLE SIDED HEART PENDANT

A stunning example of a Stuart Crystal double sided heart pendant, circa 1710.

The heart is made of high carat gold with a roped border and topped with a gorgeously modelled crown.

Each side of the heart depicts a different allegory:

The first has two love birds below a pair of gold cuffed hands holding a gold crown.

The second depicts Cupid drawing his bow next to a flaming heart upon a pedestal.

The faces have two wonderful faceted heart crystals which are in great condition.

There are two minor nibbles on one edge - see pictures, these do not take away from the beauty of the piece.
