A superb mid Victorian silver and turquoise Dove pendant.

The supersized dove is modelled in full flight. The bird has fine chasing over the entire body, wings and tail to depict the feathers, the technique creates a gorgeous shimmering effect.

The tip of the tail and shoulders of the wings are set with pretty turquoise cabochons.

The dove carries a forget me not flower in his beak!

The dove has small pink garnet set eyes, and has a large glass locket on his belly, currently lined with a choc brown silk.

Doves are often seen as a symbol of care, purity, and peace.

The forget me not he carries represents love, devotion and remembrance.

Sold with the original antique box.

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
