An epic Victorian Walnut vinaigrette pendant.

Made of 18ct gold; the Walnut is realistically modelled with fine chased detailing.

Hinged at the centre, the Walnut opens to reveal a gold interior cavity which once would have contained a scented sponge that was sniffed by the wearer to block out the more unpleasant smells of the city.

Now an empty cavity where a personal keepsake can be stored.

The walnut hangs from a chunky 18ct gold bail.
