VICTORIAN DIAMOND LEAF & PAVÉ TURQUOISE BOMBE PENDANT

A striking Victorian pavé turquoise dome pendant with diamond ivy leaf design.

The large pendant is fully pavé set with bright blue turquoise cabochons, that are all slightly different sizes, selected to fit the shape perfectly.

The stones have a very consistent colour, with only slight variations in hues of blue.

The centre of the pendant has an ivy leaf outlined in silver gilt and filled with sparkling rose cut diamonds.

Ivy imagery was used in sentimental jewellery of this period as it was associated with the saying; ‘ I cling to thee’ representing unbreakable bonds in love and friendship.

The reverse of the pendant is made of a flat silver gilt back, and the original brooch hinge has been used to attach the large jump ring, making it easy to add to your favourite chain.

The scale and colour of this piece really makes a statement.

It looks great on a finer or chunky chain
