A stunning Victorian silver bead necklace, circa 1890.

This is by far the longest original chain that I have found! At just over 48” the beads can be worn easily up to two times around the neck, and three times for the slimmer neck for a choker look.

The silver beads are hand made, so all vary marginally in size.

They are threaded on a metal fine simple chain, and close with a simple silver bolt ring.

So many ways to style this one!

Very good; some areas of tarnish, and some dents in places. One bead has a small hole in the seam - see photos for more details.

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
