A beautiful antique Scottish Agate bracelet with a padlock clasp.

Circa 1880; The bracelet is made up of six domed rectangle shaped pieces of agate.

Each agate that has been selected has all the unique natural inclusions and patterns that makes agate such a beautiful material.

The agates are set with simple 12ct gold settings which are joined by classic belcher links.

The shield shaped padlock clasp has a wonderful moss agate at the front and a glass locket pane at the back with a black silk lining.

The bracelet can be fastened two ways to accommodate smaller and larger wrists. See pictures of both methods.

The padlock can also be completely removed so can be worn as a pendant.

The combination of earthy colours against the gold compliment the piece wonderfully.

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

Necklaces

All The Old Cut chains and necklaces have the total length detailed in the description.
The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.
Below is a basic guide to show some popular lengths – note, everyone’s neck is different, so this is just a basic guide.
JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
