An adorable Victorian locket with a wonderful painting of an Old English Bulldog!
The dog, wearing a chunky collar, has a gorgeous expression on his face! The detail is fantastic, and you can even see the brush strokes.
The background of the painting has pretty shades of blue to lilac.
The locket itself is 9ct gold front and back, with a lovely foliate chasing design on the reverse.
The locket opens to reveal two glass panels with the original frames. These are lined with the original turquoise silk.
Perfect to add your own personal picture or to leave empty to show the pretty silk colour.
This was most likely a sentimental piece commissioned by a Victorian who really loved their dog!
