A fantastic 19th century Saint Esprit Turquoise Dove pendant.

The beautiful dove has spread wings, and is diving downwards.

The entire piece is set with pavé turquoise stones, and the dove has bright red faceted garnet eyes.

His belly is silver gilt, with wonderful chasing to depict the feathers.

The dove has a ring at the beak, perfect to add your own charms for a personal touch.

The turquoise stones are in great condition, and are lovely shades of green to blue which is so typical of antique turquoise pieces.

 

Representing the Holy Spirit, this popular peace symbol in the form of a dove was known as a Saint Esprit.

It was popular in the late 18th Century/ early 19th Century originating in France.

The entire piece hangs from a high carat large jump ring to make it easy to add to your favourite chain
