A lovely antique silver Paperclip & Lovers knot Albert chain with T-bar.

The chain has paperclip links alternating with knot links, with a central t-bar.

The chain closes with two chunky silver dog clips, which are in good working order.

A Lion Passant is marked on nearly every link to indicate silver is of sterling quality.

The chain is hallmarked for Birmingham 1898. 

One dog clip appears to have a different date letter, so is likely a historical replacement.

The chain is a fantastic length, and looks so stylish when worn, either on its own or with a bunch of other chains.

I have not found this combination of links in silver before.

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
