A stunning double snake intaglio spinner pendant.
Circa 1820/30; The spinner is made of deep orange Citrine carved with three different intaglios on each face.
The first face is engraved with a ‘forget-me-not’ flower.
The second has an intaglio of a Celtic family crest with an eagle and Dukes coronet.
The third is the words ‘ Jude 2nd Verse’
Which refers to the words ‘Mercy unto you, and peace, and love be multiplied to you’
The spinner frame is made of two gold snake head terminals with their tails twisted together to create the bail.
The snakes heads have wonderful deep chased scales.
Looks so nice on a fine to medium gauge chain
