VICTORIAN WHITBY JET SNAKE BANGLE

A super cute Whitby Jet snake bangle.

Made in England, circa 1870, the snakes body is made of faceted and polished Jet beads.

The head and tail of the snake is made of Jet which has been intricately carved with a geometric pattern.

The bracelet is on sprung elastic, so will fit a small to medium size wrist.

Whitby jet is mined in Whitby Yorkshire.

It is formed from fossilised wood of the Monkey Puzzle trees that grew over 150 million years ago.

Whitby Jet is prized for its intense black colour, and lustrous shine that is achieved by polishing it. Whitby Jet also light which makes it perfect for the use in jewellery

This is a super cool addition to any wrist!!
